Never really played in SVGA, because it slowed the game down A LOT for me.

I see. The … I see. The gamespeed was always a problem. We had a pentium 200Mhz MMX and the game was slow in SVGA but still playable. On our next PC, a Pentium 3 it ran way too fast on the straights and slowed down to normal speed in the curves. That was really annoying. But that´s interesting, instead of decreasing the framerate, this game simply slows down to keep a stable framerate.
