How do I get a job in Formula one ?

Monday, June 21st, 2010

I have been producing video testimonials for the last 10 years. I worked in the software industry. I would like to work in the formula one sector instead. Any idea where I should start looking for such a job?

I don`t know what a video testimonials are, so I dont know, whether you would like to work as an engineer or general staff (PR, hospitality,…). Sending your CV to a team in a lower series than F1 seems like a good idea. You can also check

Is being a fluent speaker of the English language a requirement of getting into Formula One?

Monday, June 21st, 2010

Do you have to be fluent in English to get into Formula One racing? All the drivers seem to speak it very well in the post race interview.

No, most drivers learn it to communicate between others drivers from many different countries, also most drivers spend a lot of time in UK when driving in lower catorgeries so need it to get by. Toranasuke Takagi is the only F1 driver I can remember not being able to speak English.

Monday, June 21st, 2010

A long time ago before the start of a Formula one warm up round? You could see a car still lifted up in the air and when all cars got started doing their warm-up round , that car was still on the grid with his wheels of the ground … it was really funny to see , but does anybody know who that driver was?? and which Grand prix. Thank you.

it was Ralf Schumacher. Jim bamber did a cracking cartoon about it. can’t remember the year, i’ll get back to you.
